Help shape a new learning community for social enterprises working in circular economy

Convened by Green Collect , supported by Social Enterprise Network Victoria (SENVIC) and powered by social enterprises across Australia!

Dear friend,

Whether you’re an established enterprise, getting started, or somewhere in between, we invite you to be part of a unique opportunity to connect, learn, and collaborate with other social enterprises contributing to a more circular economy.

Our aim is to elevate the role and work of social enterprises working in the circular economy by sharing learning, and harnessing our collective experience, knowledge and talents to create resources for all Australian social enterprises to access on SEDI’s Understorey digital commons.

Please join us on Wednesday 2nd April, 12-1.30pm (ACT/NSW/Tas/Vic time) for an introductory online meeting.

RSVP via the link below, and we’ll send a Zoom link one week prior.

Can't attend the introductory meeting but would still like to be involved? Please rsvp to indicate your interest.

How will the community work?

As part of the Social Enterprise Development Initiative (SEDI), Deep Experience Learning Communities bring people together around areas of social enterprise interest and impact, to produce knowledge resources that help build the capability of the Australian social enterprise sector. Our community will:

  • Commence in April 2025 and run through to mid-2026
  • Meet once a month for 1-2 hours
  • Run entirely online for accessible, national participation

Possible areas to explore together

  • What’s going on in Australia and across the world as we work towards a more circular economy, and the implications and opportunities for social enterprise
  • How we can grow stronger together and advocate for social enterprises having a higher profile in the circular economy conversation
  • Sharing areas of successes and how these were achieved, as well as our biggest challenges and how can we help one another
  • Ways to share our expertise to help the broader SE sector adopt more circular practices in their workplaces and services

What we choose to focus on is really up to all of us! We will start with a broad intention, but the exact details about how the group will work, the topics we cover, and the resources we create together will be guided by the community members. We aim to create an inclusive community that will benefit from diverse perspectives, experiences and approaches.

Help us spread the word

We know there are plenty of enterprises that we haven’t met yet, so please share this invitation with your networks. Anyone involved in social enterprises engaged with the circular economy is welcome to join, whether you are looking to share your experiences or gain insights.

We look forward to hearing from you!
